Please understand that the cancellation policy has been put in place to protect my income. Teaching and Phone Coaching is my way of making money, therefore, when cancellations happen that means my part-time income is reduced, and I know everyone can relate to the pressure of less money than planned for the week!!

Riding Lesson & Phone Coaching Sessions (Including Private, Group, or club Bookings):
Rescheduling or cancellations of appointments should be done at least 24 hours before the agreed scheduled time. You will not occur a cancellation fee if you advise 24 hours before your lesson time.
If you do require to reschedule or cancel your lesson or coaching session, please let me know via a text message or Facebook message as early as possible so I can re-arrange my day or book another rider into your time slot.
I understand that ‘life’ can happen and you may be in a situation where you cannot attend a lesson or coaching session. Should this occur, and you advise me within less than 24 hours before your lesson time, you may incur a cancellation fee of $40.
The $40 cancellation fee will be required for lessons cancelled less than 24 hours before your lesson time for situations like:
- Light rain, cold weather or wind
- Warm weather, up to 33’c forecasted for the day
- Unable to attend lesson due to over scheduling/busy day
- Running late
- Not feeling like riding/unmotivated!
Note: If you are unable to ride due to any of the above situations, then you can swap your lesson to a Phone Coaching Session at no additional cost, and avoid paying the $40 Cancellation fee.
Some Exceptions to the Cancelation Policy:
Weather:
I will always ensure lessons are conducted in a safe environment, including the weather on the day. To better develop your skills, I encourage you to expose yourself and your horse to a variety of safe weather conditions. While wind, frost, heat, rain, and heat are unpleasant, riding in these conditions ensures you are able to train your horse consistently year-round, which means you’ll have an advantage over many other riders.
If the weather conditions are safe to ride in, (as a guide, if competitions can still be run), I am always happy to teach, I don’t mind standing in the rain!
No cancellation fee will be required if unpleasant weather makes it unsafe to ride.
Unsafe Weather Guidelines (no cancellation fee):
- Hot weather, a temperature of 34’c or higher forecasted for your lesson time
- Storms, heavy/constant rain, hail, or very strong winds
- Unsafe arena surfaces due to bad weather conditions
- Unsafe travel conditions due to bad weather conditions
Note: In unpleasant weather situations, you can swap your lesson location to ride in the indoor arena at Lara Pinta in Yellingbo. Lara Pinta charges $22 for arena hire, therefore this would be an addition to your lesson cost.
Or, alternatively, you can swap your lesson to a Phone Coaching Session at no additional cost, and avoid paying the $40 Cancellation fee.
Rider Injured or Sick:
Should you wake up feeling unwell and unable to ride in your lesson, please advise me as soon as possible in the morning. In this case, you will not be charged the cancellation fee, however, if you leave it until an hour or two before your lesson you may incur the cancellation fee of $40.
Deepening on the situation, I may be able to ride your horse for you if you’re feeling too unwell to ride.
Horse Injured or Sick:
You will not be charged a cancellation fee if your horse is unable to be ridden on the day of your lesson. However, please advise as early as you can so I can re-arrange my day or book another lesson in your time slot.
If at the start or during your lesson, your horse becomes lame, or you are unable to start or finish your lesson, a percentage of the lesson cost will be charged (and not the full lesson amount) depending on the situation and duration of the lesson.
Note: If you are unable to ride due to any of the above situations, and you would still love to utilize your time to continue to train, then you can swap your lesson to a Phone Coaching Session at no additional cost.
